Water Modelling Solutions has recently finalised the Millard’s and Currarong Creek Flood Studies in southern New South Wales. The projects were delivered in partnership with Shoalhaven City Council and involved the development and calibration of detailed hydrologic and hydraulic models and the preparation of deliverables which will improve future town planning and emergency management.
Thorough engagement with the community was critical and a key component of both studies. The studies have resulted in a much-improved understanding of flood risk through the townships of Ulladulla and Currarong which will greatly benefit these communities, whilst also enhancing the Council and NSWSES’s capacity to respond to future flood events.
